Details:

All latches show some wear but all work. The handle is leather covered, and there's some tears where the covering goes over the hinges.

Rough textured black exterior with a yellow lining. Worst is a piece of missing black covering the bottom in what would be the neck area, about 17 long and about 4 at the widest although it is triangular so not that wide all the way across. Considering how valuable a 335 from this era currently is, this might be a nice addition if you're lucky enough to own one. GSR veers 779 gs 7.

There are some wear cosmetic issues so look pictures over carefully. This is an original early gibson ES335 case. Also, there's a small piece of black fabric about 2 square right below the case pocket, maybe some kind of padded rest was there but just the black is there now.

This will also work with an es330 also wear along the lid edge down by the bottom latch. Inside, you can see wear to the yellow lining, especially on the inside lid where the controls and bridge would have rested some tears there, see the last picture but that's not the only place. That was touched up with black paint a long time ago.

There are also a number of places on the lid and back where there are smaller tears in the covering. No signs of any damage to the actual wood en case which is structurally sound. That's the third picture. The black cases start to show up in 1961, maybe a little earlier, and they had plastic handles by 1964 and since this handle is leather, it's somewhere in that time frame.

If there was a manufacturer label inside, it's gone now. The gibson logo plate is in good shape.
