Its latches work great and has protected this bass for the past 30 years. The heads paint has a few light chips, but tip is in solid original condition. It plays buttery soft and makes running fast scales a lot of fun.
The original silver chainsaw case is solid. Its not perfect, but overall, a beautiful looking original paint job. Is basically a case queen that's ready to go. It has a lot of metal mass in its design, which helps to produce more tone and warm sustain.
The body's neck pocket is tight and has no joint stress cracks anywhere Charvel Jackson model 2b bass guitar in very clean original condition lived its matching chainsaw case since it was purchased new. This Charvel bass features the rare electric blue finish in great looking shape, with a few blemishes.
The neck is straight, jumbo frets are in really nice shape too, with only slight even wear and no divots. A great bass for stage, studio and addition any vintage Charvel collection. The electronics are all original Jackson USA factory components too.
All the switches work fine and pick-ups provide a large variety of tonal options for different musical styles. The factory equipped bridge is thick. The string action is currently set modestly low. Gawk factory made.
